A photo app with one rule: it has to be real.

hearto is where you share what you actually saw today. Every photo is checked for AI before it's posted, and if it looks generated, it doesn't go up. What's left is your friend's lunch, their walk home, their dog.

What happens when you tap Post

Your photo goes through an AI check before anyone sees it. For a normal photo that takes a couple of seconds, and most of the time you won't notice it happened.

If a photo looks generated, it stops there. You get a note like the one on this page, and nothing reaches anyone's feed.

Detectors get it wrong sometimes. If yours was a real photo, tap "This isn't AI-generated" and a person will take a look.

Comments and messages get checked too, for the mean stuff.

Where you'll find people

The home screen has three tabs. Switch between them depending on what you're in the mood for.

Following: The people you chose, newest first.
Discover: Posts from people you don't know yet, picked for what you're into. Tap any #hashtag to see more of it.
Nearby: What people around you are posting. Location is off unless you turn it on for a post.

A question for everyone, once a week

Every week the whole app gets the same question. A recent one:

"Does editing count as AI?"

Share your take, reply to other people, @mention a friend who needs to see it. Your first answer each week earns 100 coins for your farm.

Every account comes with a small farm. Plant carrots, tomatoes and pumpkins, sell what you grow, and slowly save up for more land, decorations and a guard dog named Biscuit.

Visit the people you follow to pull their weeds, or help yourself to a few ripe veggies while they're not looking. It's meant to take months, so there's no rush.

The basics

What does it cost?: Nothing. hearto is free, and there are no ads in your feed.
Who sees my posts?: Your followers, and people browsing Discover. Nearby only shows a post if you added a location to it.
How does the AI check work?: Each photo is scanned by an AI detection service before it's published. If it gets a real photo wrong, you can ask for a review from the app.
Can I block people?: Yes. Blocked people can't see your posts, follow you, or visit your farm. You can also hide your follower lists.
What if someone's being awful?: Report any post, comment or message in two taps. A person reads every report.
Can I delete my account?: Any time, from Settings or at delete.hearto.us. Your profile, posts and photos go with it.
Is it on Android?: Yes. Get it on Google Play (Android 8 or later), or on the App Store for iPhone (iOS 17 or later).
